How an exterior job goes

  1. 1

    Wash

We pressure wash to remove dirt, mold, mildew and buildup, so the new paint has a clean surface to hold on to.

  2. 2

    Repair and scrape

We scrape and sand loose paint and repair damaged exterior wood before anything gets painted.

  3. 3

    Caulk and prime

We caulk the gaps and prime bare spots, so the finish lasts.

  4. 4

    Paint

We finish with Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore exterior paints made for North Carolina weather, and clean up as we go.

Yes. We paint siding, brick, stucco, trim and shutters.

Do you paint businesses and new homes too?

Yes. We work on homes, businesses and new-construction homes for builders.

What kind of paint do you use?

Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore exterior paints, made to stand up to North Carolina weather and chosen with you for the surface and the look you want.

What affects the price?

Every estimate is written for your home, and these are the things that move the number:

  • The size of the job: square footage, how many rooms or stories, and how high the ceilings or walls go.
  • The condition of the surfaces, and how much scraping, repair and primer they need.
  • Wood that has to be repaired or replaced before painting.
  • How many colors, and whether trim, doors or cabinets get their own.
  • How much there is to protect: furniture, floors or landscaping.
  • Access, such as tall walls, steep yards or tight spaces that take extra setup.

On the outside, siding type and how much wood repair the house needs make the biggest difference.

After the estimate you get a written price, so you know the number before any work starts.
